The landscape architects
were prime consultant for design development
through construction administration for
this $1.1 million (Canadian) park. Development
included sports fields, picnic
pavilions
and picnic areas, trails, playgrounds, lighting,
reforestation, irrigation , roads and parking
and major utilities. The site is located
within Banff National Park in the Canadian
Rockies, requiring compliance with Canadian
National Park regulations and liaison with
local and federal authorities. Bounded by
the Bow River, much of the park development
is integrated into a mature spruce / poplar
forest. Subconsultants included a civil
engineer, architect and electrical engineer.
