This 22 acre Harris County
Precinct Four park was a joint project
with the Association for Better Community
Schools. The landscape architect’s
role was to work with the 2 organizations
to create a master plan for a multi-phase
development of the park. The plan delineates
areas dedicated to competition soccer
fields complete with separate picnic,
parking and support play facilities.
A separate area of the park serves as
a community family park including picnic
pavilions, restrooms, walking/jogging
trail, special gardens and playgrounds.
Planting and earthforms are used to
help provide a sense of separation from
2 adjoining busy roads. Jim Patterson
