MEMORIAL PARK CONSERVATION MASTER PLAN

White Oak Studio worked with Wallace Roberts Todd (WRT) of Philadelphia as local landscape architects for the preparation of a Conservation Master Plan for the 1500 acre Memorial Park in Houston Texas. Through a public involvement process lasting over 1 year the park planners worked to balance conservation interests with the inexhaustible need for active recreation facilities in a large city. Our role was directed toward the evaluation of existing recreation facilities and development of a trail system within the park. This project was one of several transferred to Knudson & Associates and completed there while Mr. Patterson was principal at that office.
