White Oak Studio was landscape
architect for the third phase of this unique
park, made possible by a private donor through
the Houston Parks Board. Using native Texas
limestone and native Texas plants, the pavilion
(by architects Charles Tapley and Carl Brunsting)
was integrated into the site. The playground
was renovated, providing drainage vital
to all-season play and integrating varied
play opportunities into existing play areas.
Completed 1998.
